A great day was had by all in a day when we supported the Breast Cancer Campaign by wearing a new PINK uniform!

Statistics show that 48,000 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in the UK each year – that’s around 130 a day. One in eight women will face their own battle against breast cancer in their lifetime, and figures show 12,000 people will lose their fight with the disease every year. Breast Cancer Campaign is a unique community of scientists, supporters and people touched by breast cancer. Our superheroes. Pioneering in the search for a cure, the Campaign is calling on as many people as possible to join in on their biggest, pinkest fundraising day ‘wear it pink’ which returns on Friday 26 October 2012.

Clean Air are proud to be one of many supporting the cause. Celebrating its 10th anniversary wear it pink encourages supporters to wear pink for one day, raising money in the process. In 2012 Vanish is, once again, joining the fight against breast cancer, helping Breast Cancer Campaign to continue funding projects across the UK and Ireland. In 2011, hundreds of thousands of supporters got together, pulled on something pink and raised more than £2.2 million for Breast Cancer Campaign. wear it pink 2012 will see even more superheroes BE PART OF THE CURE breast cancer by raising funds for vital research projects. The charity currently funds two projects at centres of excellence in the South West, totalling more than £84,000. The Breast Cancer Campaign Tissue Bank, the UK’s first ever national breast cancer tissue storage network is a vital resource for researchers across the UK and Ireland. Ready access to suitable tissue samples and materials for breast cancer research has, historically, been a major obstacle to translating science into new treatments. The Tissue Bank advances medical research into breast cancer by providing researchers with access to breast cancer tissue quickly. Thank you for considering this appeal.
